Weekly Ketchup: February 28th, 2025

This week has been “light” in that I don’t have any events to prep for, so I’ve been working on a variety of projects that I’m slowly chipping away at as well as some client work.

Art Prints
I’ve been making a push to have a big selection of smaller art prints in the shop. These are great for me because I can print everything myself, so I don’t need to invest in a run of product. It also allows me to test out illustrations to see what works best. So, if you’re into smaller art prints, keep following for more!

Woodcuts
With my next event coming up, I’ve decided to make a few more desktop wormies. These were fun to make and I’m really liking how they turned out, so I want to add a few more.

Booth
My booth redesign went really well last year, but it does have some limitations. So, this year I want to use what I did last year as a foundation to expand and accommodate for more product. It’s been something I’ve been sketching and working out for a few months now, but I finally made my first test. I made 2 custom pegboard panels that can hang from my freestanding grids as well as the wire grid that goes on top of my table. Using these pegboards will allow for me to use pegboard hangers to put more product up at each event. The next step is to sand the panels and paint them yellow.

Drawing
I recorded a simple drawing this week. This will be my next video. I wanted to keep things simple and do a straightforward drawing video. Ideally, I would do these on a regular basis, so here’s hoping I can achieve that.

Board Book
Another big project is a board book that I’m illustrating for a friend. This will be a sequel to one I did a few years ago. As I jumped into the outline, I started getting really excited about how fun this book is. Here’s a rough sketch of one of the pages.

Ok, that’s all for now. Time to get back to work!
